How can I join YHO?
To become a regular member of YHO, you must audition for a seat as part of our annual auditions process taking place in spring each year. You must be between the ages of 13-19 years old by June 1st of the same calendar year.
Does YHO accept late applications?
No, late applications will not be accepted. All past audition materials must be submitted by mid-March for consideration at that year's auditions.
How often does YHO rehearse?
We typically have three or four rehearsals per month held on Saturdays during the school year season which generally run from September through mid-July depending on concerts and events. Each rehearsal period runs approximately two hours long so our members gain valuable performance experience while building relationships with members of their section and across our entire organization.

Are scholarships available for non-local students?
Yes! We offer scholarships to qualified applicants from outside our area who demonstrate financial need but would still like to participate in our program!
