What does ACFI mean in UNCLASSIFIED

ACFI plays an integral role in understanding the basic laws of nature governing particles, fields and forces. By studying these principles at the most fundamental level, we can gain insight into how the universe works and reveal mysteries that have eluded our understanding until now.

ACFI is renowned for its interdisciplinary collaborations among scientists who span diverse fields such as astrophysics, cosmology, nuclear physics and particle physics. The center is led by Professor Kostas Skenderis who directs research initiatives at the forefront of theoretical physics.

Currently there is a focus on developing understanding of gravity and black holes through mathematical approaches including general relativity and differential geometry.
