What does AIESEC mean in COMMERCE

AIESEC is an international non-governmental organization that provides a platform for students to exchange ideas, experiences and culture through international internships, trainings, conferences and other forms of learning. AIESEC also promotes peace and fulfillment of humankind's potential by enabling young people to develop their leadership capabilities.

AIESEC works by connecting local universities with its global network of partners to provide opportunities for students to gain global experience and develop their leadership skills. Through this platform, students can explore different cultures while gaining hands-on working experience in a foreign country.

AIESEC offers a wide range of benefits for its members, including the chance to join an international network of peers who share the same goals and interests. It provides the opportunity to gain professional experience abroad while developing one’s intercultural communication skills and understanding of social responsibility. Members can also take part in volunteering projects or access training programs tailored for them around the world.

Any student enrolled at a university or college is eligible to join AIESEC, regardless of nationality or background. To be part of a local chapter or join any national or international activities, applicants must be between 18-30 years old.

Becoming an AIESEC member is quite simple! All you need to do is fill out an application form on our website and attend any orientation session hosted by your local university chapter – meetups are usually held twice every semester!

You can find internships related to various fields and disciplines offered in countries all over the world through our online portal. The range includes accountancy & finance, IT & programming, marketing & sales, medical & health care, hospitality & tourism management and many more!

Internships usually last between 2 - 12 months depending on the individual program you choose and availability in each city/country selected as destination. Certain universities may offer shorter duration internship programs as well but this typically depends on their local regulations.

Those interested in joining our organization need not worry about any extra costs involved – we don't charge any membership fee or participation fee from our members! However if you are interested in taking part in one of our Global Exchange Programs then make sure you review the program fees associated with it first before applying for it.

As soon as you decide to participate in exchange program facilitated by us,you will be connected with an experienced mentor who will guide you throughout your entire journey right till completion– which would include pre-departure assistance (includes visa eligibility checks), financial guidance, job/accommodation search advice etc.. We ensure that all participants receive personalised care from their mentors during their stay abroad!
