What does FYSA mean in AGENCIES

The primary purpose of For Youth Serving Agencies (FYSA) is to provide essential services that promote the development and well-being of young people. Services include educational support, counseling, mentoring, career guidance, and community outreach initiatives.

Activities included in FYSA initiatives vary from organization to organization but typically involve activities such as skill building workshops, career planning workshops, health and wellness courses, recreational activities, mentorship programs, community service days and much more.

FYSA primarily impacts individuals between the ages of 10-24 who might be in need of additional support or guidance in some capacity. These individuals may come from all different backgrounds but often experience social and economic barriers which can impede successful outcomes.

In most cases yes - eligibility requirements will differ depending on the organization providing these services. Generally speaking basic criteria like age range or being enrolled in school may be required however more than likely there will be exceptions made depending on individual circumstances.
