Dame Jocelyn Barrow (DJB) is a British disability campaigner and politician. She has championed the rights of disabled people both through her campaigning work and as a Member of Parliament.

Dame Jocelyn Barrow has made significant contributions to improving access and equal opportunities for disabled people, such as advocating for inclusive education, raising public awareness about disability rights, campaigning for new legislation, developing policies that protect the rights of disabled people, working with businesses to ensure fair employment practices for disabled workers, providing guidance on healthcare services and financial assistance, among other initiatives.

Dame Jocelyn Barrow first became involved in politics in 1989 when she was appointed to be a Member of the European Parliament (MEP). In 1997 she was elected as Labour Party Member of Parliament (MP) for Birmingham Edgbaston. During her time as an MP she campaigned extensively on disability issues such as accessible transport, housing adaptations and financial support for those with physical disabilities.

Today Dame Jocelyn continues to be an advocate for disabled people's issues in the UK. She holds positions on several committees related to disability issues within government departments such as Work and Pensions, Health and Education. As well as this she regularly speaks out on matters relating to disability policy both at home and abroad.

In 2020 Dame Jocelyn was honoured with a damehood by Queen Elizabeth II in recognition of her services to disabled people and society more generally. Her work over many years campaigning tirelessly against discrimination towards those with disabilities has been widely acknowledged by organisations across the country.
