What does ACAC mean in COMMISSIONS

The Adria Commission for Arts Culture is an independent, non-profit organization established in 2020 to support and promote arts and culture throughout the Balkan region. It seeks to foster cultural exchange, provide access to artistic resources, and create new opportunities for artists.

All individuals involved in the creative process of the Balkan region – from artists to administrators, from photographers to music producers – can benefit from ACAC’s activities.

ACAC hosts training workshops, provides funding opportunities, organizes international artistic exchanges, produces online content such as podcasts and webinars, among other activities related to promoting arts and culture.

You can participate in any of our programs or initiatives or join our network of members. You can also volunteer your time and skills, or donate financially to ACAC in order to help support our work.

Our headquarters are based in Tirana, Albania but we collaborate with partners across the Balkans in countries such as Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Macedonia and Serbia. We also have a virtual presence through our online platform and social media channels.

We provide funding for individual artists projects; organize festivals such as “Young Creatives Connect” which gathers young people from all over the Balkans; organize virtual events like masterclasses with international guest artists; produce podcasts dedicated to art topics; and more!

Participation fees vary depending on each initiative but they are always kept at an affordable level so that everyone has access regardless of their economic status. Fees go towards supporting operational costs such as travel expenses or production costs.

Yes! You can help spread awareness about our initiatives by sharing information on social media or through word-of-mouth promotion. Additionally you could spread knowledge about us directly by talking to friends or family who may be interested in learning more about what we do at ACAC!

Currently we offer unpaid internships with flexible hours throughout Europe so that students or recent graduates have opportunity gain professional experience while contributing their skillset towards a good cause!
