The Central Coast Field Office (CCFO) is a regional office of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service responsible for conserving and preserving fish and wildlife resources throughout California's central coast region, which includes the counties of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Monterey, San Benito, Santa Cruz and Marin.

CCFO provides technical assistance to local governments, conservation organizations, schools and other partners in land use planning and habitat conservation projects; coordinates with federal agencies on collaborative projects; assists with updating threatened and endangered species recovery plans; works closely with partners to restore fish habitats; conducts scientific research related to coastal wetlands restoration, waterfowl management, riparian corridor restoration and much more.

Yes! The CCFO Education Program offers classroom teachings on environmental science concepts to K-12 students throughout its service area.
