What is CARP

CARP stands for Coburg Aggregate Reclamation Project. It's a comprehensive program developed by a group of public, private and non-profit entities aiming to alleviate escalating pressure on scarce aggregate resources in the state of Oregon. The purpose behind this project is to identify opportunities to increase sustainable access to these resources while preserving minimal environmental effects. To achieve this goal, CARP seeks input from various stakeholders so as to create an integrated approach towards mineral preservation policies and other aspects connected with aggregate resource conservation activities.

Why Is CARP Necessary

In recent years, there have been increasing pressures from industry and urban development on our finite aggregate resources used for construction purposes -- especially those located close to densely populated areas. Unless addressed properly, this demand could lead to degradation or depletion of these crucial minerals over time. What Does CARP Do
