What does FATIMA mean in UNCLASSIFIED

FATIMA stands for Fate And Transport of Indoor Microbiological Aerosols, a research project under the European Union's Horizon 2020 initiative to explore how microorganisms are transported indoors, as well as how they affect human health and wellbeing.

FATIMA is important because it will help us better understand how indoor environments are impacted by microorganisms and what implications this might have for our health and wellbeing. This understanding could then be used to inform decisions about controlling microbial populations in indoor environments.

The primary focus of the research project is to quantify the fate and dynamics of indoor airborne microbial particles in order to gain insight into their transport mechanisms, composition and sources within buildings.
