What does ASNR mean in

The ASNR promotes excellence in education, research and clinical practice in the field of neuroradiology. This includes providing members with educational opportunities and resources, certifying qualified professionals in the field, helping improve health care quality through research and standards development, and advocating for patients' access to care.

To be eligible for certification as an ASNR Member in good standing you must meet certain qualifications including completion of an accredited radiology residency program or equivalent training recognized by the ACGME or equivalent specialty board approval agency. Additionally you must have at least one year of postgraduate clinical experience; documentation on your current licensure status; documentation of CME participation; along with other qualifications as set by the Applicant Review Board.

Anyone who is professionally engaged or interested in neuroradiology can become a member of ASNR. Professionals from both medicine and radiologic technology may join.
