What does APAB mean in PHYSIOLOGY

The Archives of Physiology and Biochemistry (APAB) covers all aspects of basic research in physiology, biochemistry, and other related sciences. It publishes original peer-reviewed research papers, review articles, invited reviews, and short communications.

APAB focuses on both theoretical and experimental research that advances our fundamental understanding of physiological/biochemical mechanisms across a wide range of organismal systems. This includes work on cell biology, metabolism, energetics, membrane processes, molecular genetics, hormone action and regulation at various levels of organization in plants and animals.

Articles should be between 4–6 pages in length which would include references provided according to APAB format rules. Submissions longer than 6 pages may have additional costs involved during publication process which could be discussed with our editors before submission if necessary.

Authors are limited to a maximum of 5 images/figures per article with each image/figure being no more than 1 MB in file size. All illustrations must be titled correctly and referenced within the body of text if mentioned in context or results section.

No unfortunately not – all manuscripts submitted must be written in English language only.

Upon receipt of your manuscript a reference number will be assigned which you can use to track its progress through processing stages until accepted or rejected by editors. If accepted an official letter of acceptance will be sent via your registered email address.
