Dysdiadochokinesia is a type of ataxia, or lack of control over voluntary muscle movements, which results in an inability to perform rapid alternating movements such as tapping your fingers. It is often seen in patients with strokes or multiple sclerosis.

Ataxia refers to any disorder affecting the coordination and balance of the body. This can manifest in the form of jerky movements or difficulty controlling movement or maintaining posture. Most commonly it is caused by diseases such as multiple sclerosis, stroke or degenerative diseases like Parkinson's disease.

Nystagmus is an involuntary movement of the eyes that can include jerking back and forth, up and down diagonally or circularly. It can be caused by various conditions including disruptions in the inner ear such as Meniere's disease and certain drugs or toxins like alcohol.

An Intention tremor is an abnormality involving shaking when attempting to perform purposeful movements such as moving one's hand towards a target object. This type of tremor usually occurs in disorders that damage parts of the cerebellum such as multiple sclerosis, stroke and neurodegenerative disorders like Parkinson's disease.

Speech impairments occur when there are difficulties producing sounds for speaking due to either physical issues such as vocal cord paralysis or neurological issues like problems with understanding language (dysphasia) or difficulties forming words (dyspraxis). This can lead to slurring words (dysarthria) or staccato speech (cluttering).
