What does BTFA mean in ART

BTFA's mission is to provide visibility and support for Black Trans Femmes in the Arts through advocacy, performance activism, education, and collaboration with other organizations that prioritize trans liberation. They focus on creating collaborations between Black Trans Femme creators and building relationships with supporters who partner with them in their work.

BTFA produces networking events that uplift the culture and voice of Black Transgender Women and Non-Binary Femmes of Color. They also offer group workshops geared towards developing artistic skills as well as providing supportive resources during these gatherings. Additionally, they create performances that bring joy and empowerment to local communities through celebration of their narratives and artistry.

BTFA provides a range of services to assist in amplifying the voices of its members. These include mentorship programs to help hone their craft; financial assistance and crowdfunding campaigns; production opportunities through online platforms or event promotions; marketing resources such as branding materials; guidance on legal matters; access to spaces where they can feature their artwork; health promotion initiatives such as seminars or retreats; educational webinars or panels featuring expert speakers; and additional resources for arts professionals including grants information, job postings, etc.

People can show their support for BTFA by attending events or performances hosted by them; donating money or supplies directly to their cause; sharing content related to their organization on social media; collaborating with other community groups that have a similar mission statement or values system; becoming a member of the organization either online or in person; educating themselves further on issues relevant to Black Trans Femmes in the Arts through reading materials such as books/articles/online videos and podcasts/etc.; volunteering at local community events held byBTFA ;and participating in fundraising activities put on by the collective.
