What does MSTA mean in TECHNOLOGY

Attendees of MSTA can expect to gain key knowledge and skills in mathematics, science, and technology that will provide an advantage on their path to college or a career. Additionally, through hands-on activities and projects developed with cross-curricular focus on STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and math), attendees have the unique opportunity to develop higher-level skills such as problem-solving and critical thinking.

The curriculum at MSTA is designed to help foster intellectual growth by integrating inquiry-based learning opportunities such as project based learning alongside traditional coursework elements. This allows students to explore topics like artificial intelligence (AI) robotics and coding while also strengthening their foundation in math and science fundamentals such as algebraic equations and chemistry principles.

At present MSTA caters for students aged 11 - 18 years old; however this age range may be subject to change depending on individual school district requirements or other factors.

Classes at MSTA typically take place over a period of one or two semesters or up to a full academic year depending on what option works best for individual students or schools. During this time learners have the opportunity not only to learn new concepts but also grow their confidence in their own abilities within STEM fields.

There may be associated costs with attending an accredited Mathematics Science Technology Academy depending on which program you choose; however some public school districts are able to subsidize tuition fees for qualifying families.
