Planning

Decision

Once a plan is laid out, decisions need to be made in order to move onto execution. These decisions can involve budgeting resources and personnel, setting deadlines, or defining measures of success for the project's completion. During this phase, everyone involved should have an understanding of their role in executing the plan successfully by taking into account any potential risks or challenges that were identified during planning.

Execution

Execution is where all of the planning and decision making starts to come together with action being taken towards achieving goals set forth in previous stages. This can involve assigning tasks to team members as well as tracking progress using established metrics for measurement outlined previously in the decision stage. Execution ensures that all tasks are completed in line with plans made during original planning phases along with any adjustments necessary during decision-making stages.
