What does JTU mean in THERAPEUTICS

The Journal of Therapeutic Ultrasound (JTU) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes research related to the use of ultrasound in therapeutic applications. These include physical therapy, occupational therapy, pain management, and rehabilitative medicine. Studies may also focus on the basics sciences underlying therapeutic ultrasound.

Any researcher or healthcare professional with expertise in therapeutic ultrasound is welcome to submit an article for consideration. Professional societies and institutes may also submit collections focused on specific topics related to therapeutic ultrasound. Authors should submit content that complies with JTU's guidelines outlined at https://www.jtultrasound.org/AuthorGuidelines.

Yes! All articles published in the JTU are freely available online to all readers worldwide as part of our open access policy.

Peer review is a process by which experts in a given topic evaluate a manuscript prior to its publication. This process ensures that only high-quality content is accepted for publication and helps improve the accuracy and reliability of research findings presented in each article. In the case of JTU, manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who provide their feedback to editorial staff for consideration when making final decisions about whether or not to accept a paper for publication.

Although JTU does not yet have an impact factor, we do strive to publish high quality and timely content that meets international standards for scientific excellence. JTU welcomes new editors who share our commitment to publishing scientifically rigorous papers related to therapeutic ultrasound research while maintaining our open access policy. Applications can be submitted via email at info@jtultrasoundorg. An up-to-date CV should be included along with a statement outlining past experience relevant to journal editing/publishing activities as well as future plans if accepted as an editor with JTU. Furthermore, applicants must have 5 years or more experience working within this field (e.g., teaching, researching, etc.) before being considered as an editor.

Authors who have their work accepted for publication will benefit from increased visibility due to comprehensive indexing efforts completed by JTU staff which make it easier for readers around the world find their work online quickly and easily; every accepted article will receive its own digital object identifier (DOI) number which makes it easier for readers citation tracking; authors will also benefit from free promotional tools provided through JTUs social media platforms ensuring maximum exposure; finally authors retain copyright over all submitted material and are allowed self–archiving rights.

Editors who publish articles in JTU receive no financial compensation for their time spent reviewing manuscripts; however they do get recognition through enhanced individual research profiles due exposure received from publications appearing under their name; reviews done by editors are rewarded through reputation points gained during time spent providing feedback which elevates them amongst peers; lastly all editors are recognized as key contributors on behalf journal during editorial meetings held periodically throughout year.
