To apply to the Fashion Institute of Design and Arts you must first submit an online application which can be found on our website. Once complete, you will need to submit required documents such as transcripts, test scores, essays, biographical information and recommendations. To be considered for admission into the Fashion Institute of Design & Arts applicants must meet the following criteria: 1) Have achieved a minimum GPA of 2.5; 2) Have completed one college-level course in Art History; 3) Submit the appropriate documents outlined on our website (transcripts, test scores etc.) 4) Demonstrate proficiency in written English; 5) Provide two personal references; 6) Complete an interview with a representative from FIDA.

Depending on what program you enter you may require some specialized equipment such as iPads or computers with software programs such as Adobe Creative Cloud or similar programs; however most general materials such as pens/pencils and sketchbooks are not needed since these are provided by the school upon enrolment.

Our average student-teacher ratio is 20 students per instructor which allows our instructors to give each student personalized attention while they learn valuable skills related to their chosen program of study.

We offer three different types of housing options - on-campus residence halls, off-campus residence halls and shared living arrangements with other local students attending similar schools or universities in your area code. Please note that all applicants must undergo a background check prior to being accepted into any type of housing arrangements through our school.
