What does CADRE mean in COMMUNITY

CADRE provides free support and information services regarding special education rights and practices to families of students with disabilities as well as professionals involved in the special education process. We also offer resources, trainings and workshops on a range of topics related to disability rights, IEPs (Individual Education Programs), learning strategies, transition services, self-advocacy, assistive technology and more.

Yes! We regularly publish information on our website including factsheets on various disability topics as well as other materials that address a wide range of relevant issues such as discipline policies in the schools, early childhood programs and family engagement strategies. No - we are not attorneys and cannot provide legal advice or consultation services directly to individuals. However we can refer you to community-based organizations specializing in providing legal advice if needed.

No - unfortunately we do not provide any type of financial assistance program directly but may be able to connect you with local organizations which may be able to provide some help depending on your situation.

All our workshops are offered free of charge however donations are greatly appreciated in order to cover administrative costs associated with running them.
