What does CACH mean in HEALTHCARE

CACH provides services that focus on primary health care, screening and immunization, alcohol and other drugs, mental health, physical activity and nutrition. In addition, CACH runs a number of community-based programs, activities and events such as cultural awareness training, community meetings, drug education campaigns and healthy lifestyle activities.

CACH is committed to delivering services and initiatives that are sensitive to the needs of the Indigenous community. In order to do this effectively, our staff always consult with Elders and other members of the community when developing new programs or activities. Additionally, we ensure that our service delivery is respectful of local culture by employing workers who themselves identify as Indigenous Australians.

Yes! Through our Community Connections team, we work closely with individuals who are at risk of or already experiencing social isolation due to factors like poverty or family breakdown. Our team offers tailored advice on how to access resources in the area or make meaningful connections with other people in a safe way.

Yes! At CACH we run an Every Child Counts program which helps young children learn about key topics such as health literacy and financial management. We also run youth leadership programs aimed at empowering teens through life skills activities such as job readiness training and opioid awareness workshops.
