Adopt A Salmon Family is a program sponsored by the Coastal Alliance for Aquaculture Reform that provides an opportunity for individuals and groups to support wild salmon populations in British Columbia by contributing to stream restoration projects, habitat conservation and research initiatives.

Any individual or group who wishes to contribute to the mission of protecting, conserving, and restoring wild salmon populations throughout British Columbia may participate in the Adopt A Salmon Family program.

Participants in the program can choose from various salmon family types such as chinook, coho, pink and chum salmon. They then commit to making monthly donations that will be used to help fund efforts towards sustaining healthy wild salmon populations.

The commitment length of time is completely up to you! You can opt for a one-time donation or a recurring donation plan if desired.

Donations made through this program are directed towards projects that focus on stream restoration, habitat conservation and research initiatives related to protecting wild salmon populations and habitat throughout British Columbia.

Absolutely! Your donations directly contribute towards necessary restoration and conservation efforts aimed at restoring watersheds degraded by activities such as logging, mining, development and other human activities that severely damage fish habitats.

Additionally, all participants can expect continued updates about their adopted family's status and progress throughout the year.

Yes! All participants who donate through our Adopt A Salmon Family Program get the chance to give their adopted families personalized names of their choice when they donate.
