What does ABCF mean in FOUNDATIONS

The mission of the Alemtsehay Breast Cancer Foundation is to improve breast cancer awareness and access to services in Ethiopia. The foundation also seeks to provide financial support for breast cancer patients and survivors, as well as advocacy for public policy initiatives related to breast health.

The Alemtsehay Breast Cancer Foundation provides a variety of services including patient navigation, psychosocial support, educational seminars and workshops, on-site mammography and ultrasounds screenings, transportation assistance for treatments, access to medications and treatments, financial assistance for those unable to afford treatment costs, advocacy efforts on behalf of patients and survivors rights.

There are many ways you can help raise awareness about breast cancer! You can start a fundraiser or campaign on social media using #BreastCancerAwareness to share informative articles about prevention and detection, volunteer at local events such as walks/runs dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research or join a support group which provides an opportunity for individuals facing similar experiences to connect with one another and share stories of hope and strength.

The Alemtsehay Breast Cancer Foundation holds its events both in Ethiopia--in cities such as Addis Abeba and Harar--and abroad--including London and Los Angeles--in order reach maximum impact.
