What does NSEF mean in ENGINEERING

The Nanoscale Science and Engineering Forum (NSEF) is an annual meeting of experts in the fields of advanced research, technology, education, policy, and commercialization related to nanoscience and nanotechnology. NSEF brings together leading researchers and thought leaders from academia, industry, government, funding agencies, and non-profits to present new ideas about how to advance nanotechnologies into real-world applications for the benefit of society.

NSEF focuses on four main areas of interest – Advanced Research & Technology; Education & Outreach; Policy & Regulation; and Commercialization & Entrepreneurship – with a particular emphasis on advancing practical solutions within each topic area.

The event attracts a diverse group of attendees including professors, researchers, students in science or engineering disciplines; policy makers in industries or government agencies that are related to nanoscience and nanotechnology; entrepreneurs looking for insights into starting a business based on nanotech innovations; investors seeking breakthroughs to back; corporate executives interested in emerging trends in nano materials or devices; representatives from nonprofits that fund research or public awareness programs.

On average 600-800 individuals representing more than 25 countries attend each year.

The forum is typically held at locations throughout North America such as hotels/convention centers near major universities or science & engineering centers. Previous locations have included Washington D.C., New York City, Minneapolis MN and California's Silicon Valley.

At NSEF one can expect a range of activities including lectures by top thinkers in the field, moderated panel discussions featuring experts from different sectors, workshops where participants can contribute their own ideas to working groups dedicated toward advancing solutions around designated topics areas within nanoscience/nanotech. Additionally there are special events for networking purposes as well as receptions hosted by partnering organizations.

Conference registration is open to anyone who wishes to attend. However academic rates exist for faculty/researchers/students with proof provided during registration process.

Yes! We highly encourage all attendees to submit abstracts of their research papers for presentation at our conference proceedings workshop sessions (peer-reviewed). Presenters accepted for these sessions will receive additional recognition throughout our program which will include additional exposure during keynotes and panel discussions.
