What does ITDP mean in DEVELOPMENT

The Integrated Tribal Development Program (ITDP) is a program initiated by the government of India to provide comprehensive development in select tribal areas. This program aims to provide assistance and resources to help improve the educational, economic and social conditions of those living in these areas.

The activities undertaken by ITDP include delivering health interventions such as immunization camps and programs; constructing schools, roads and small dams; creating watershed management projects; generating economic opportunities such as providing seeds for subsistence farming; setting up skill training centers; and establishing access to clean drinking water.
