What does ACCN mean in COLLEGES

The Adult College Completion Network (ACCN) is a national collective effort to accelerate adults’ completion of postsecondary credentials. It provides guidance, technical assistance and resources to community-based organizations, higher education institutions and other organizations to help them leverage collaborative efforts for increasing adult college completion rates.

ACCN provides a number of supports for adult learners who are pursuing postsecondary credentials. These include research and evaluation tools, webinars, videos, online discussion forums, and special events. Additionally, ACCN facilitates partnerships between key stakeholders in the adult college completion space such as employers and civil society organization.

We also work with employers to identify qualified individuals for entry-level positions related to their field of study.

All types of colleges including community colleges, four-year universities, vocational schools and online programs are eligible for support from the ACCN if they meet our criteria which includes having an established infrastructure for providing training and/or counseling services that serve adults seeking postsecondary credentials or professional development opportunities.
