What does FPPF mean in FEDERATION

The Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting photography in the Philippines and encouraging the highest standard of photography as an art form. FPPF works to foster a greater appreciation for photography, develop educational programs, support emerging photographers, and bring innovative technology to the photographer industry.

FPPF works with its members to promote professional excellence in photography through education, networking and sharing resources. We also strive to empower current and aspiring photographers by keeping them updated on new developments in the industry, helping them discover opportunities in areas such as portfolio building, job opportunities, publication exposure and more. In addition, FPPF actively supports many Filipino photographers by providing grants for projects meeting our criteria.

Becoming a member requires that you complete an online application form that includes filling out your contact details like name and address, payment information as well as an introduction about yourself including your skills and interests in photography. Once you have completed the application process you will receive a confirmation email from us with instructions on how to join our active community of members.

At FPPF we recognize talent among our members through several awards initiatives that celebrate outstanding work across various categories each year. To participate all you need to do is submit your best photographic work for review along with relevant documents outlining your achievements within specific categories such as portraiture or documentary photography. Winners are chosen by our panel of jury based on their artistic merit and creativity.

Workshops organized by FPPF cover topics related to both technical aspects such as lighting techniques, proper camera settings and post-processing software aspects but also subjects such as understanding body psychology when working with models, posing techniques for different body types or storytelling concepts while shooting documentary projects.
