Novell continued to develop the UNIX operating system under the name NetWare. In 2000, Novell sold its UNIX business to the Santa Cruz Operation (SCO). SCO continued to develop the UNIX operating system under the name SCO UnixWare. In 2007, Caldera Systems acquired the SCO UnixWare business from SCO. Caldera Systems continued to develop the UNIX operating system under the name Caldera OpenUnix. In 2010, Caldera Systems was acquired by Oracle Corporation. Oracle Corporation continues to develop the UNIX operating system under the name Oracle Solaris.
