What does MEP mean in EDUCATIONAL

Madison Education Partnership is a nonprofit organization that works to provide quality public education for all students in Madison, WI. We are committed to increasing educational opportunities and outcomes for every child in our community by partnering with schools, funders, community organizations and families to create positive school climates and strong learning environments.

MEP offers programs such as the High Five Schools Initiative, which provides afterschool activities for elementary and middle school students; Mentor Program Training Institute which provides training and support for new and existing mentors; Parent Leadership Academy courses which train parents on effective strategies for advocating for their children; Professional Development Institutes which supports teachers’ learning strategies; STEM Innovation Hubs which offer hands-on activities related to science, technology, engineering and math in classrooms throughout the city; and much more.

There are many ways you can get involved with MEP. You can volunteer as a tutor or mentor, serve on one of our committees, attend an event or workshop sponsored by us, make a financial donation or become an advocate of public education in Madison. Yes! As part of our services, we provide Professional Development Institutes (PDIs) which offer workshops that focus on adult learning strategies such as project management methodologies, instructional design principles as well as classroom assessment techniques. In addition to PDIs we also offer short courses through our online platform so that educators have access to practical tools no matter where they may be located.

Absolutely! Financial contributions from individuals allow us to continue offering quality programming for Madison's schools and students each year.
