What does FYCS mean in YOUTH

Family Youth and Children Services (FYCS) provide a wide range of services that includes mental health counseling and support, family systems therapy, parent education classes, case management and after-school programs. These services aim to promote positive behaviors in children and equip them with the skills necessary for successful development.

Any child or family in need of assistance can receive services from FYCS. Depending on the individual circumstances, certain criteria may have to be met before receiving services. Additionally, financial eligibility may be determined by an evaluation process conducted by a qualified representative from FYCS.

Initial contact with FYCS can be made online or by telephone. After initial contact has been made an appointment will be scheduled to complete the assessment process so that appropriate service recommendations can be made based on individual needs.

Most of the general assessment costing are covered through funding received from various government organizations or community partners; however if additional treatments or evaluations are requested there may be a charge for these service fees. This fee structure will depend on availability of funds for such treatment or evaluation options that may not covered under the general assessment costs provided by government organizations or community partners.
