What does AFCON mean in LAW & LEGAL

AFCON stands for Africa Fought Corruption On Nations and refers to a collective effort by African nations, civil societies, and international organizations to address the issue of corruption in African countries.

AFCON focuses primarily on government corruption as it relates to money laundering, bribery, misappropriation of public funds, and other forms of financial fraud. It also seeks to raise awareness about other types of corruption such as nepotism and cronyism.

The initiative is led by a board composed of leading anti-corruption experts from governments across Africa as well as representatives from civil society organizations and international partners such as the World Bank Group. The board meets regularly to discuss strategies and priorities related to fighting corruption in Africa.
