What Does BRRI Stand For?

BRRI stands for Bermuda Race Relations Initiative. The initiative was created with the goal of improving racial harmony on the small island of Bermuda, located in the North Atlantic Ocean between England and America. The initiative involves a series of measures taken by both individuals and organizations, including education programs, conferences, seminars, workshops, workshops research projects, initiatives aimed at community engagement and equal employment opportunities, as well as activities designed to encourage cross-cultural understanding.

Origins

The origins of BRRI date back to 1996 when the island’s government recognized that racial disparities existed between Bermudians who identified as white or black or mixed-race citizens.
