Safe Kids Worldwide is a global organization dedicated to preventing injuries in children and advocating for the safety and well-being of all kids. The non-profit works globally, in the US, in partnership with organizations and communities to protect kids from unintentional injuries - the leading cause of death to children in the US. Our efforts focus on home safety, outdoor safety, safe routes to school, sports and recreational activities, water safety, road safety and more.

Through education programs that create awareness about injury prevention topics like car seat installation, bike helmet use and poison prevention as well as advocacy campaigns focused on legislative solutions that make our community safer. We also collaborate with partners around the world to provide training on best practices for childhood injury prevention.

We have a network of more than 400 coalitions throughout the US working to protect kids from preventable injuries. These coalitions are made up of community members—including healthcare providers, educators, civic leaders and anyone else who cares about child safety—working together at the local level to prevent accidents that can cause harm or death.

Yes! Our Injury Data & Evaluation team creates reports based on varying sources including surveys, focus groups and publicly available data sets which are used by policy makers and advocates across the country. We also partner with coalitions around the world – here in the US and abroad – providing them with guidance on how they can make their communities safer for kids.

We offer funding opportunities through our Global Grants program which allows any individual or organization with a focus on injury prevention for children through educational programming or advocacy initiatives access financial support to pursue their goal.

Our programs focus on several key areas including safe sleep practices, car seat installation & use as well as home safety programs like ensuring all household cleaners are stored out reach of kids.

Absolutely – our Teens Out Smarting Cars (TOSC) program aims to educate teenagers on how they can reduce their crash risk while driving by focusing on five critical topics - distraction free driving, obeying speed limits, avoiding alcohol consumption when driving, buckling up every ride & knowing every passenger counts.
