THEHECA provides a range of services that support our mission to promote environmental sustainably and build community solidarity. Our primary efforts focus on engaging research, educational initiatives, advocacy campaigns, and grassroots organizing with an emphasis on bridging knowledge gaps among communities with intersecting interests in sustainable development. As an organization that seeks sustainability through self-reliance and resource mobilization rather than reliance on external funding agencies or governments grants we operate primarily through volunteer labor force supplemented by some part-time paid staff positions when needed which become available periodically depending on program activities requirements.
