Symptoms of BRV include severe diarrhea with abnormal consistency, loss of appetite, fever, dehydration, bloating or swelling in the abdomen area, and listlessness.

BRV is caused by a virus from the Reoviridae family that infects cattle's gastro-intestinal tracts.

BRV is highly contagious and can spread rapidly between animals primarily through contact with faeces or contaminated water sources. It can also be spread through direct contact with an infected animal's saliva.
