What Is BDMM?

BDMM (Banlieues du Monde Mauritania) is an international non-governmental organization that works with disadvantaged communities in Mauritania as well as other African countries. Its main mission is to promote the social development and economic autonomy of marginalized people through education programs, health care services, community building activities, sanitation projects, access to clean water supplies, and advocacy around human rights issues and good governance practices at both local and national levels. By empowering locals in these areas with knowledge and resources to create a better future for themselves, BDMM hopes to help reduce poverty and socioeconomic inequality around the world.
