What BRAG Means

The acronym BRAG stands for Best Reflection of Academic Growth. It is an assessment tool that relies on qualitative data to measure the individual growth of each student over time. The tool allows educators to gain a better understanding of how learners are progressing in terms of subject knowledge, skills acquisition, personal development, and behavior management. Additionally, it helps provide teachers with information to help identify any areas where students need additional support or intervention to stay engaged and successful.

The main purpose of this assessment tool is for teachers to be able to monitor each learner’s progress across the entire curriculum based on past performance from previous courses or grades from current classes. With this approach, educators can get an accurate picture of the student’s abilities within each subject area as well as overall performance across all subjects combined.
