What does IOHR mean in INTERNATIONAL

International Observatory of Human Rights is a non-governmental organization founded in 2019 with an aim to create an inclusive and diverse platform of data, information and knowledge that is accessible to all stakeholders in the field of human rights. By combining research and analysis with advocacy, we strive to bring together the world's leading experts, academics, activists and governments to promote respect for human rights through global policy dialogue and action.

IOHR strives to advance awareness around specific human rights topics globally by engaging in various activities. This includes conducting research, producing high-quality education materials, organizing events such as conferences, masterclasses and seminars, advocating for change within civil society organizations and international governments, training volunteers on conducting investigations and much more.

There are various ways you can get involved with IOHR. You can become a volunteer or a consultant who works directly with us on projects for a period of time; you can also donate funds or provide material support to help us continue our mission; or if you are looking for more long-term commitment you can become a member or partner organization. Your involvement will make all the difference!

Our dedicated research center provides comprehensive reports on key human rights issues such as indigenous people's rights violations or child labor exploitation which cover not only analysis but also factsheets containing relevant data that comes primarily from trusted sources like UN agencies or governmental organizations. We also organize interactive workshops around relevant topics where experts present their findings.

We believe that effective advocacy comes from engaging different stakeholders at different levels — from grassroot activists all the way up to governmental bodies. To this end, we have developed numerous advocacy strategies focusing on media-based campaigns through project websites such as news articles, opinion pieces or infographics; mobilizing public discussions through high profile dialogues between governments, experts and activists; training students and volunteers to do investigative researches using journalistic standards; building networks between advocates and leaders working in related fields etc. All these strategies are designed towards achieving consensus amongst different parties on particular issues thus advancing progress towards actual change for those whose rights have been violated.

We have established strategic alliances with various international organizations such as Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch or United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Through these partnerships we share ideas around coordinated campaigns exploring innovative approaches such as online campaigns targeting audiences from all over the world although sometimes it may be just a simple exchangewhere we benefit from understanding each other's working methods better.

It depends on what kind of involvement you want with us. If you want to join our network as an individual member then no fees are required but if you wish to join as an organizational member then annual membership fees apply depending upon the size & structure your organization has adopted.

Yes we do! Every form of donation is welcome regardless whether it's money donations or material donations like books, software licenses etc., even your time counts too! We strongly believe that every contribution helps us make positive steps towards achieving our goal!
