What does AFRS mean in UNCLASSIFIED

An Airport Fire Rescue Service (AFRS) is an emergency response team dedicated to protecting the safety of passengers and staff at airports. They provide firefighting, hazardous materials management, rescue operations, medical treatment, crash and rescue operations, aircraft fire suppression and crash investigation.

Aircraft rescue services are provided by properly trained personnel with specialized equipment.
