What does WDDC mean in COMPANIES & FIRMS

The WDDC provides a wide range of services to its stakeholders including business recruitment, advocacy, professional development programs, public engagement workshops, promotional campaigns, education and training opportunities and more. We strive to create programs that enhance downtown's growth potential while also appealing to local businesses and residents who live or work downtown.

The WDDC is primarily funded through donations from individuals and private foundations as well as grants received from local governments. Additionally, our funding sources include contributions from corporate sponsorships and partnerships with other organizations.

The WDDC has numerous partners that help us carry out our mission day-in and day-out. Some of our most important partners include the City of Wichita, Wichita State University's Center for Urban Initiatives & Research (CUIR), Greater Wichita Partnership (GWP), Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City KS, Riverfront Legacy Board (RLB), Visit Wichita, and many others.
