What does ACAA mean in COLLEGES

The ACAA stands for Atlantic Colleges Athletic Association. It is an athletic association that includes several universities, colleges and institutes located in the Atlantic region of Canada.

The goal of the ACAA is to provide a governing body for collegiate athletics in the region as well as to establish standards for collegiate athletics and ensure fair play.

There are currently 8 member schools of the ACAA including Mount Saint Vincent University, St Francis Xavier University, Université de Moncton, Crandall University, British Columbia's College of New Caledonia, Holland College, Maritime Christian College and Dalhousie Agricultural Campus.

The ACAA offers basketball, soccer, cross country running, indoor track and field and outdoor track & field at its member schools.

Yes! Besides offering competitive athletic opportunities, member schools also benefit from sharing resources such as medical staffs and training facilities between their campuses. This helps save on costs while providing a higher level of care at all participating institutions.
