What is a Triangular Voltage Sweep Test?

A triangular voltage sweep test involves applying incremental amounts of alternating current (AC) voltage across an electrical component in order to measure the response. The amplitude or magnitude of the applied AC voltage gradually increases from a low level until it reaches a predetermined high level. At this point, the process reverses itself and the amplitude decreases back to the original starting point. This cycle is repeated continuously over time as measurements are taken at various points along the way in order to collect data about the behavior of the component under test.
