What does TIPA mean in AWARDS & MEDALS

All teachers are eligible to apply for a TIPA award, regardless of level or experience. Pre-K through 12th grade educators who meet pre-set criteria may be considered for the award.

Eligible candidates must demonstrate exceptional classroom instruction, student achievement growth, exemplary teaching practices, effective leadership skills, and commitment to professional development. Candidates are also evaluated on their involvement in the school community and contributions to advancing education in their wider community.

Applications may be submitted once per year at any point during the school year. However awards will only be granted annually during the summer months when applications are reviewed and assessed by an independent panel of judges.

No - There is no fee associated with applying for a TIPA Award. However, all applicants must meet eligibility requirements as set out by the awarding body in order to be considered for the award.

Applicants must provide evidence that supports their claims about their performance as an educator. Examples include student evaluations, lesson plans/activities/strategies used in class, examples of student work/projects completed under your supervision etc..
