What does SCBC mean in COMMUNITY

SCBC provides a range of services including outreach education services, policy advocacy, technical assistance, and organizing activities for community members. These services help promote civic engagement in the community and inform residents about available resources.

SCBC works with partners to identify common needs, create resources to meet them, and promote collaboration between them. This includes hosting meetings for local stakeholders and providing support for projects that benefit the entire community.

The coalition is made up of government representatives from various levels of government, non-profit organizations, businesses, faith-based groups, neighborhood associations, law enforcement agencies, health care providers, public schools and universities as well as individual advocates and volunteers.

Some examples include promoting healthy living initiatives like increasing access to nutrition education; providing support for homeless individuals; advocating for equitable housing policies; creating job opportunities; supplying childcare supports; coordinating emergency preparedness efforts; developing crime prevention strategies; and increasing access to quality healthcare.

To get involved with SCBC you can attend one of their meetings or events which are held throughout the year. You can also sign up for their email list or join any number of committees assisting within the organization. Finally, donations are always accepted in order to support the mission of improving quality of life for all members in our shared community.
