Roone Arledge was an American television producer who spearheaded the transformation of ABC Sports into one of the most influential broadcasters in the world. Roone Arledge earned numerous accolades throughout his career, including 40 Emmy awards, two Peabody Awards, three Alfred I Dupont Awards, a National Medal of Arts Award and a George Foster Peabody Career Achievement Award. He was also inducted into both the Sports Broadcasting and News Halls of Fame.
