What does PWH mean in HEALTHCARE

Project World Health (PWH) is a volunteer-led global health organization that provides people in underserved countries with access to sustainable healthcare. It was founded in 2001 by two Stanford Medical School graduates, and it has since grown into a respected health organization with over 10 international chapters.

PWH works in close coordination with community-based organizations and government institutions around the world. They focus on improving existing health systems and training local healthcare workers so they can deliver quality care in their own communities. The organization also develops programs aimed at empowering individuals to take responsibility for their own healthcare decisions and advocating for policy changes that will improve access to healthcare worldwide.

PWH operates globally, with projects currently active in Africa, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Oceania.

Some of the services provided by PWH include training local healthcare workers so they can deliver quality care in their own communities, developing programs aimed at empowering individuals to take responsibility for their own healthcare decisions and advocating for policy changes that will improve access to healthcare worldwide.

There are a variety of ways you can get involved with PWH depending on your skillset or area of expertise. You can donate money or time directly to help fund particular projects or initiatives; you could join one of our volunteer teams who work on projects related to public health research or education; or you could join one of our international chapters as a mentor or leader for our efforts abroad.
