History Provenance

Lake Minnetonka Figure Skating Club was founded in 1994 by four local skaters wanting to provide more opportunities for both recreational and competitive figure skaters on the south side of the Twin Cities Metro area. Since then, it has grown into one of the largest figure skating clubs in Minnesota, offering year-round classes, camps and special events for its members. LMFY also hosts regular test sessions and competitions throughout the season at Lake Region Ice Arena.

Programs Offered

The programs at LMFY are designed to cater to all levels of skaters from beginner up through advanced competitive athletes. Private lessons are available with flexible scheduling options upon request. Group classes are offered covering all disciplines of figure skating such as Freestyle, Moves In The Field/Edge Control & Artistry/Choreography, as well as Power & Agility/Strength & Conditioning . In addition, LMFY hosts several camps throughout the year which include summer day camps and holiday power hour camp offers like Thanksgiving Camp or Christmas Camps geared towards each individual’s needs and interests.
