What does JSPP mean in PSYCHOLOGY

JSPP covers research on the psychological aspects of social and political behavior. It seeks to understand how individuals think, feel, act, and interact with each other in different contexts such as politics, government, media, work place decisions, and more.

JSPP publishes twice a year in both spring and fall.

Any researcher or scholar who has a passion for exploring the psychological dimensions of contemporary social dynamics can submit their findings to JSPP for consideration. Manuscripts should not have been published previously or accepted by any other publication prior to considering submission to JSPP.

Manuscripts submitted to JSPP need to be focused on issues related to social and political psychology that emphasize progress in theory development or empirical research. Empirical manuscripts must provide rigorous tests of existing theories or generate new ideas keyed towards understanding social behaviors from a psychological perspective. Theoretical papers should offer innovative ideas that could be evaluated more formally through further research.

Review papers are one of the types of content accepted by JSPP along with full reports on original research studies, theoretical pieces that move forward our understanding of the link between politics/society/psychology; short communications; letters; discussion groups; book reviews; forum posts / commentaries; field notes from applied researchers sharing insights from practice-oriented fields such as international relations or education policy making; and occasional special sections jointly organized by two or more guest editors sharing expertise around a specific topic relevant to this journal's scope.
