What does IECD mean in DEVELOPMENT

Infant and Early Childhood Development (IECD) is a multidisciplinary approach to understanding the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development that occurs in young children from birth to five years of age. IECD combines both research-based best practices as well as parental involvement to create environments that best support the healthy growth of infants and toddlers.

The developmental milestones for IECD range from infancy through early childhood. For infants this includes motor skills like rolling over, crawling, and walking.
