What does EPBC mean in BASEBALL

The Evergreen Park Baseball Club (EPBC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing youth baseball teams, providing them with resources and opportunities to learn about the game and compete with other teams. We understand that there are many important lessons that can be learned from playing a team sport such as the value of teamwork, learning how to win and lose gracefully, developing confidence, respect for coaches and teammates and having a strong work ethic.

EPBC teams are available for players aged 6-18. All players who meet this age requirement are welcome to join or try out for an EPBC team.

No prior experience is necessary-- all skill levels are welcome! Just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Practices usually take place once per week at a designated time, however there may be additional practices scheduled before games if needed.

Throughout the year, our teams participate in local, regional and even national tournaments against other competitive baseball clubs both near and far.

Yes, there is an annual fee associated with registering your child for the season which covers tournament registration fees/uniforms/equipment costs etc. Additionally, families may also be responsible for transportation costs to tournaments if applicable.

Generally speaking each player should have their own glove, helmet, bat and cleats (professional metal cleats are recommended). Depending on the position played there may also need additional pieces of equipment such as catchers gear etc., so make sure you check with your coach first before buying anything else!

Although parental involvement is not mandatory it certainly encouraged! Parents can help support their children by ensuring they attend games/practices on time, helping manage expectations around playing time (especially when children are younger), providing positive reinforcement during games/practices and being role models when it comes to sportsmanship on/off the field. In addition parents can volunteer with scorekeeping/field maintenance duties throughout season too!

Our regular season typically runs from April through September depending on playoff schedules but we offer winter clinics throughout select months as well should players choose to participate in those.
