History

Established in 1925 by Dr. Bernard Revel, who was then President of Yeshiva University, BRGS has long been a leader in Jewish academic studies and has since expanded its scope to include graduate studies in other disciplines such as mathematics, psychology, political science, history, philosophy and more. In 2002 BRGS was one of the first schools to be granted accreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). BRGS is also accredited by many other organizations including The American Psychological Association (APA), The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and The American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
